Stuffed dragons, mini dirt-bikes and giant Jamaican bananas were
just some of the cool prizes lucky fairgoers won at the Capital EX
midway on Saturday.
The midway was packed with people hitting
moles with mallets, throwing baseballs at blocks and tossing rings on
bottles for prizes.
Jordan Costa, 10, won his fluffy dog with a water gun.
"You know those spray games? I just shot it in the middle and then I got this guy,a blurayburners as well." Costa said of his prize.Max brings to our board an extensive background in rubberhoses engineeringYou don't think about achickencoopplans,
His friend Nathan McElhatton, also 10, was quick to add, "His mom won it for him."
Carrying a giant plush giraffe down the midway was Drew Hogg and his friend Dylan Medd, provide a plasticmoldingonsale repair service for regional automotive makers. who also had two smaller stuffed animals.
Drew
knocked over three bottles in a baseball throwing game to win his toy
while Medd simply "picked three ducks out of a pond."
The two 21-year-olds said they were planning on winning more prizes but the games are enjoyable even without a win.
"My favourite is the BB gun one," Medd said. "It's fun even if you don't win stuff."
EXPENSIVE PRIZES
Stuff
like laptops and Play-Stations were up for grabs if you could win at
harder games requiring expert precision or strength.
It seemed almost impossible for contenders to toss tiny rings on the necks of glass bottles for an iPod Touch.
